Pictures on this page were captured in France from the village of Camelin, located on the boarder between Oise and Aisne departments.
Optical equipment was composed as
follows :
- a Vesta Pro webcam with BW sensor, fixed on a 8" MEADE LX200
telescope at F/6.3 equipped with a Lumicon Halpha filter.
- a CASIO QV4000 digital camera in afocal mode behind a 40 mm SP
eyepiece, fixed on a Meade ETX90 telescope equipped with a
THOUSAND OAKS OPTICAL 1/100 000 glass solar filter
- a 15x80 binocular fixed on tripod for visual observation

At 7H20 local time (UT+2), in a
clear blue sky, first contact occurs. Second contact happens 20
minutes later .

A beauty spot on the sun !
The whole sun is a magnificent show. The little black sphere contrasts drastically with the smooth solar surface (captured with CASIO QV4000 on Meade ETX90).
